Visiting ViewSonic

snarklet
This morning, my wife and I dropped off her 21" monitor for repairs. After three years, it suddenly developed a focus problem. Happily, it was still under warranty. Unhappily, it costs an arm and a leg to ship a 21" monitor, especially when you don't have any of the original packing materials.

So we decided to just drive on down to ViewSonic and drop it off. It was fun to see ViewSonic's headquarters and shipping bays. They must have had thousands of new monitors in their wherehouse there, all boxed up and wrapped in plastic.

Speaking of 21" monitors, you just can't imagine how much more productive you can be with a larger desktop. It's much easier to visualize things when you can put two documents side by side or put nearly a hundred lines of source code into a single screen.
