High-resolution iPad?

I am pleasantly surprised to see these rumors of a high-resolution iPad. I am surprised that Apple may be thinking about features that matter this time. The iPad has been popular, but let's be honest: the display is pathetic. 1024x768 in 2010/2011? Might as well have a cassette deck on the back or a paper tray for printing faxes.

Assuming the rumor is true, this still doesn't address the iPad's unfortunate form factor (it should be smaller), but it is a step forward. A 6 or 7-inch display with ~1600x1200 would probably be ideal. Reduce the margin around the screen, too. The thick margin on iPads make them look old. Aim for roughly the size of a Kindle 3 with an edge-to-edge high-density screen.
